Ryan Wheatley    Head Coach

More about Ryan:
Ryan is the former Head Volleyball Coach at Ohio Christian University (2014-2015). During his time he led OCU to a 28-17 record, and a berth in the NCCAA DII National Tournament. OCU came up short after a 5-0 tournament run to become the NCCAA DII National Championship Runner-Up. Ryan has coached many athletes that have gone on to play at the DI, DII, DIII and NAIA levels, several of those athletes have received 1st and 2nd Team All-American honors in their respective divisions.

Ryan is also a college scout for the National Scouting Report, one of two scouts in the Ohio area. Assisting athletes with recruitment guidance to play at the DI, DII, DIII and NAIA levels

I am excited that Velocity VBC has put their faith in me as their Director. I truly believe in helping players get to that next level and pushing them to achieve their goals. I have always been committed to developing players and training them to their potential. I know that Velocity is a great place to do that!

Ryan is a Retired Air Force Veteran that served as a Combat Medic for 20 years.

Ryan currently lives with his wife of 23 years, Marcie, and their 3 children, Lauren, Gwendolyn and Logan.
